Countdown

Phil Stacey was good. Someone must have told him black is slimming. Sanjaya sucked especially hard tonight. I guess the gag reflex is finally letting up.

Jordin didn't suck, though I was doing dishes during her song and was distracted by remnants of our bean & ham soup. (Delicious!)

Lakisha had some funky ass boots and tried to scream that Jesus song. Slipping.

Chris sounded like an amateur. Getting a bit late for that in this contest. It sounded like dueling banjos between him & that violin. Simon is going to rip him a new ass. Overall, Chris is utterly forgettable. I even forgot his name before writing this paragraph.

I'm beginning to see what y'all mean about Melinda not having a neck. It's like her head is planted directly onto her shoulders. But no matter. Melinda will be the first neckless American Idol. Love my baby.

Blake: sucked ass tonight. I cannot believe not one judge mentioned that he was NOWHERE near the pitch during the high singer part. Horrible.

Done.

Hmm, gotta disagree on Blake. I thought he handled the high parts really well.

And as far as Chris goes, come on. "Nasally is a form of singing." That's the funniest fucking thing I've ever heard on this show. Ever.

I'm glad you are comfortable openly disagreeing with me. I think he S-U-C-K-E-D. If that were my kid, I'm ground him for singing like that.

I usually like him, though.

My favorite part of this blog will be when it gets down to the wire, and we have different favorites. Then we can start pummeling each other. I will LOVE that. Who's in? I bet Dale will choose the worst person just so he can be vile.

I'm vile without any help at all you rat bastard!!

I HATED Blake and think the judges were totally wrong. Melinda was awesome, Jordin was awesome. Phil might be in remission but still looks like he's on the chemo.

I think Beckeye may be right, I hope so anyway about Sanjaya getting the heave ho.

Tell me Martina wasn't a little bit scared with her big old neck on full display in front of little Melinda?

Is the ham and bean soup homemade? It sounds delicious!

Hello Tanya,
Why yes, the soup is homemade! Poor George had made a delicious ham last week and we're still enjoying the leftovers. Here's what you do: sautee some onion, carrot and celery. Add some chicken broth. Add some canned cannelini beans. And then some diced ham. Simmer until you think it's done. Don't forget to salt & pepper along the way. Delicious!
